Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a smartphone to use GoPay?

To register and print your QR code, you need a phone or computer with internet access. But once your QR is printed, you do not need a phone to receive payments. Customers scan your QR with their phone and pay directly to your wallet. You get an SMS notification.

How do I cash out my money?

You can transfer from your GoPay wallet to any Nigerian bank account. You can also visit a GoPay agent near you to withdraw cash. Same-day settlement with no hidden charges.

GoPay is built for offline tolerance. If the vendor is offline, the customer can still pay as long as they have connectivity. Your wallet gets credited and you'll see the balance when you come online. SMS fallback ensures you always get notified.

How much does it cost?

Registration is free. Transaction fees are as low as ₦5 per transaction, and payments below a certain threshold are completely free. No monthly fees, no hidden charges.

Is my money safe?

Absolutely. Every transaction is cryptographically signed. We use device fingerprinting, fraud detection, velocity checks, and transaction limits to keep your money safe. GoPay complies with Nigerian financial regulations.
